Lake fishing at its finest.

We finally made it out to the lakes, and it was a great day. Heading up to god's country is always a fun time. The lake was almost flat calm, and the fish were feeding heavily on size 14 GMC's in about 16ft of water. Overall, we had about 30 fish to the boat. Enjoy the pics.

A donation....

Upon arrival today, master tier Will seemed as normal as can be. But... I managed to get a glimmer of hope, when he pulled out this beauty of a tie. I'm stoked about the new bug, because my box is empty. Need to get to tying for the upcoming bull trout bonanza....

More to come.

A couple more at the end of the year.

Sadly enough, this year is all wrapped up. All the rivers are showing signs of freshet, if not already blown out. The steelhead are spawing, and the lakes are off and turning over. From one kind of trout to another. Luckily I managed to get out and pick off a couple right at the end. Warm water, and fresh steelhead made everything easy. Your favourite fly fished at whatever depth you felt was right was the ticket. These last few fish were just eager to eat. My choice was a big orange and flame prawn, on a type 3. Cast, step, swing...and hang on!

What's next?  The lakes and some chrome ocean nookies. Looking forward to the upcoming trips.
